About the hotel

Presenting cost-effective accommodation within walking distance of Princes Street, these apartments are an excellent budget option for a stay in the city, and offer much more than a hotel room.

Newtown Apartments are studio apartments with the living and sleeping areas combined, all studio apartments have comfortable beds. All linen and towels are provided.

New Town Apartments offer a real alternative to a hotel room. Run on a hotel basis with a minimum one night stay, they offer you the freedom and flexibility of your own apartment for the same price as a hotel room.

Centrally located and within easy access of Edinburgh’s most popular attractions, New Town apartments are ideally suited for individuals and couples.

Late check-outs are arranged from the Queen Street office, prior to arrival or with the concierge at check-in. There is a fee for this service. The latest check-out time is 14:00.

Complimentary luggage storage is available prior to check-in at the head office in Queen Street.

Check-in and key collection is from 15:00 onwards from our head office located at: 6 Queen Street, New Town, Edinburgh, EH2 1JE. Please note that this is only the location of our office and that you will be supplied with the directions and keys to your apartment.

Concierge is available from 08:00 to 20:00

Guests with restricted mobility are kindly asked to make us aware of this when booking, so an appropriate apartment can be allocated. There is no lift in the building.

Payment information:
Credit card charges: Master Card and Visa: 1.5%; Amex: 3.5%. There is no charge for payments made by debit card.

Room information

Apartments include many facilities. A baby cot and high-chair can be added on request, as can extra beds (at an additional cost).

Some apartments have a washing machine, and a DVD library is available at the central office. Free Wi-Fi is available in every room.

Benefit from express check-out, and full service once every 7 days. There is no allocated parking for the apartments. Car park available on street, pay and display.

From Edinburgh Airport to Queen Street:
- Exit Edinburgh Airport exit on to East Field Road.
- Follow signs for the city centre/ Edinburgh Zoo.
- Go through Eastfield Road and turn left onto the A8.
- Enter into Edinburgh carrying on Glasgow Road (A8).
- Go through the Drumbrae roundabout and onto Saint John's Road (A8).
- This will become Corstorphine Road (A8).
- Turn right on the Roseburn Terrace (A8).
- Carry onto West Coates, which becomes Haymarket Terrace (A8).
- Turn left into Haymarket (A8) and carry on West Maitland Street.
- This becomes Shandwick Place (A8) which becomes Princes Street.
- Turn left onto South Charlotte Street (A90) which becomes Charlotte Square and then North Charlotte Street.
- Turn right onto Albyn Place, and turn left into Queen Street.
- The office is at number 6 Queen Street (opposite end) on the right-hand side, next to the Jam House.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport for approximately 20 GBP or an air link bus for approximately 5 GBP.
The Airport bus departs every 15 minutes. Guests must disembark at the Waverly Bridge terminus (opposite Waverly Station). Reception and key collection is approximately a 7 to 10-minute walk from here.

Please note that this is only the location of the office and that from here you will be supplied with the directions and keys to your apartment.
